Mumbai: Salman Khan addressed the growing paparazzi culture during the latest Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode, questioning the practice of taking intrusive photographs of celebrities. He particularly criticised photographers for capturing women from uncomfortable angles without considering their consent or dignity.

Speaking to the contestants, Salman said photographers sometimes focus on actresses’ thighs, hips or backs while they are getting out of or entering cars. He cited examples involving Saiee Manjrekar and Neha Dhupia, saying such photography can make women uncomfortable. Salman also recalled an incident involving his niece, whose photographs were allegedly taken from behind and later shared online with a “Guess Who?” caption.

Salman urged women who dislike such photography to stand up against it and questioned the mentality behind publishing such images. He stressed that being a public figure should not mean giving up basic dignity or personal boundaries.

The actor also highlighted Bigg Boss’s own camera practices, saying the show uses 108 cameras but does not deliberately capture women in inappropriate ways. His comments subsequently drew support from filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who praised Salman for speaking about social-media etiquette, trolling and paparazzi behaviour.
